In the last few days,
hummingbirds have begun to appear all around the house.
They flit from flower to flower,
but they seem to have less interest in the hosta blossoms
and more in the impatiens.
The impatiens have loved all the recent rain,
and they are mounding--one of their best features.
The hummingbirds can't seem to get enough of them.

And a few at the garage door:
I've always known impatiens were beautiful,
but this summer the hummingbirds have made me realize
that they must also be pretty sweet.
