Pink Christmas Decorations

I had planned to write about green Christmas decorations tonight;
however, while I was out walking my dogs
I noticed an unusual wreath of light around the moon,
which was itself incredibly silver-bright.
The light around the moon was a dusty pink color.
Amazingly beautiful.
So I took that as a sign: pink Christmas!

To my surprise, there were tons  more photos of pink Christmas decorations
than there were of blue.
So here we go.

Pale pink:

Champagne bubble pink:

Carnation pink:

Bubble gum pink:

Pink Christmas--it's charming, unique, and oh, so different.
Is it for you?

Blue Christmas Decorations

Yesterday's blog explored all white Christmas decorations--
judging from the photos I found,
it is a trend favored by those with all-white home decor.
Today I thought we'd leave behind the White Christmas
and explore a "Blue Christmas."

Here's one that has elements of ice blue and white.
I think I would probably be able to see my breath in there:

This is a pretty blue tree in what looks to be another white room:

And here's a blue tree in a blue room:

If I had a favorite blue tree, it would be this one:

This last one is of a pretty blue-themed Christmas tree posted on Pinterest.com:

I really didn't find many photos of "Blue Christmas,"
leading me to think it may not be the most popular color for Christmas this year.
But I did decorate one of my trees in mainly blue this time.
Blue Christmas anyone?

Christmas Decorations in White

It's no secret that I love decorating.
I especially love decorating for different holidays
although I don't always have the time (or the expertise) to do it.
But I thought it would be fun to share some
Christmas holiday decorations that are all one color.

Today, we're starting with white.
When I look at this first room, all I can think of is frost.
It is beautiful, but very cool with a lot of silvery overtones,
so I don't think it would suit me.

The white in this next photo is more of a winter white,
so it is warmer.
I wonder where you can buy a life-size white reindeer.
And if I knew, would I buy one?

This next image is a beautiful one,
but I have to say the more of this cool white I see,
the more I know it wouldn't be for me.
If the first photo was evocative of frost,
I'd say this one is all about snow--or marshmallow fluff.
Did there used to be a green tree in there somewhere?

And finally there is this. All I can say is brrrrrrr.

Tomorrow, we'll look at Christmas decor with some real color.
