March Wind

I was reminded these last couple of days
of the old adage for March:
"in like a lion, out like a lamb."
All I can say is I hope that it's still true.

The last two days the wind has blown bitterly cold.
Dark gray clouds move rapidly across the sky
or hang suspended and heavy above everything.
Tonight, the wind roared over the trees.

Later, I ran across this quote
from Lucretius,
author of "On the Nature of Things":

Air, I should explain, becomes wind
when it is agitated.

I can attest to that.
