Flowers in the Air

One of the pleasant facts about this time of year in the Shire
is that flowers appear seemingly everywhere.

We are accustomed to flowers growing low here.

                                                              Sometimes really low.

Flowering shrubs like forsythia reach a moderate height.

The same is true for the fuschia blooms of weigela,
a member of the honeysuckle family.

But here the real magic of near-Spring
is that flowers bloom in the sky.

Whether white like snow

or pink like candy,

flowers in the air keep us looking up.
