This morning I went out on my deck to see how my flowers
fared after last night's rain.
And I heard a lot of squawking up in the trees.
I looked up and saw two fledgling blue jays sitting side by side on a branch.

Fledglings are so gawky and awkward,
but so cute.
Another of the lovely surprises of May.
