Again, the weather is cold,
and snow and rain may arrive in a day or two.
But when I went out to run some errands this morning,
I noticed daffodils already in bloom in neighbors' yards.
And it occurs to me that today is March 1st
and spring is drawing near.
The flowers seem to know that already.
