January is the longest month,
bringing dark nights and cold days.
And unlike chilly February,
which has the grace to disappear after 28 days,
January just hangs on and on with its ice, its snow,
its cold wind, and sunless days.
31 of them.
<Sigh>
So with four weeks of January left to go,
I've decided to hunt for reasons to celebrate.
And the good news is that I've discovered
a number of fun and festive observances and celebrations
that take place this month,
and I'll be passing them on to you as January unfolds.
